"You fly a drone, right?"
I started this drone photography business as a side gig. That means I have a full time job (at least at the time of writing this). I was sitting at work one day between tasks having a few sips of my coffee when one of my co-workers walked up to me and asked "You fly a drone, right?"
"Yes, i do."
That's when he told me about a friend of his that was having a dispute with a neighbor about some events that happened on the line between the two properties. My co-worker took down my info and gave it to their friend who called me later that day.
The friend, John, told me he had just bought some property and had a modular home placed on it. The construction had finished up and he was in the process of moving in when he noticed that he could see his neighbor's house a little more clearly through the trees. A little bit of looking around and John quickly realized this new neighbor had cut down some trees on the property line. From the looks of things, almost all the trees he cut were on John's property. UH OH.
John already knew he needed to build a case for this to get anything to happen in a court room so he headed over to google maps and grabbed what he could there. Luckily, there was a semi recent image of the area while his house was under construction that showed all the trees in place. Now he just needed a new image of what was left and that's why he contacted Vertical Images. I was able to get over there the next day and grab some images at several angles of the property line and the pile of logs in the neighbors backyard. John was happy that he would be able to show something in court and I was happy to have a happy customer.
